Our Trustee, Robert Cohen, is to be named William Pleeth Professor of Cello
Our Trustee, Robert Cohen, is to be named William Pleeth professor of cello in recognition of his career and teaching achievements at the Academy over the last 27 years. The new title commemorates William Pleeth, the renowned cellist and pedagogue. Among the numerous musicians inspired by Pleeth, he only taught three children: his own son Anthony, Jacqueline du Pré and Robert Cohen.

LONG-TERM LOAN OF GOFFRILLER VIOLIN
Matouš Pěruška, violinist with Trio Bohémo, who has been playing an instrument by Matteo Goffriller, c. 1710 (Venice) since 2021, has received the welcome news that the long-term loan of the violin has been confirmed by the generosity of benefactor Czech businessman, Dr. Jan Telenský.
