The Amatis Piano Trio was founded in Amsterdam in 2013, won the Parkhouse Award in 2015 and the same year was named ‘Dutch Classical Talent 2015/16’. The trio has been part of the European Chamber Music Academy since 2015. In 2016 further success included 2nd prize and audience prize at the International Joseph Joachim Chamber Music Competition in Weimar which was followed by a tour in Hong Kong and Indonesia.

The Amatis Piano Trio is delighted to have been selected as one of the UK’s Radio 3 2016 BBC New Generation Artists.

Performances in 2016 included the Beethoven ‘Triple Concerto’ with Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester, televised concerts in the Grachtenfestival, Amsterdam and live radio performances in the Peter de Grote Festival, in addition to numerous European countries. The Trio performed for the first time in the USA in October 2016.

In 2017 they joined the BBC New Generations Artists scheme.
